Course Overview

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting qualification will prepare you for junior and entry level accounting roles. It delivers a solid foundation in finance administration - covering areas such as double entry bookkeeping to basic costing principles and using accounting software.  The Foundation Certificate in Accounting is perfect for those who are new to finance or if you’re simply looking to brush up on your foundation knowledge and skills.

Upon successful completion of the Foundation Certificate in Accounting you will be able to apply for professional membership of AAT as an AAT Bookkeeper, gaining the designatory letters AATQB after your name.

How much will the course cost?

The cost for this course with Acacia Learning is £1440 including VAT. AAT membership is required and is payable direct to AAT. AAT will be able to confirm the latest fees for membership. (This cost is not included in the course fee.)

How is the course assessed?

The course will be assessed by practical computer based assessments which are available to sit periodically throughout the year.  The Foundation Certificate in Accounting also includes a synoptic assessment which will test your understanding of connections between the different modules you will cover.

  • Part time evening course (20 evenings, 6-9pm once a week)
