About our Apprenticeship Training Courses

Key Apprenticeship information

It’s important that your job role gives you the opportunities to apply what you’re learning through the apprenticeship. The level of the apprenticeship also needs to be suitably challenging and show that you’re developing throughout the programme.

You will receive two qualifications within the programme
– Your chosen apprenticeship
– CIPD Accredited Certificate

What is 20% OFF the job training?

20% OFF the job training is a core requirement of all apprenticeship programmes. It reflects your organisations commitment to your learning, developing and honing of new skills within your role. You will log your development time each month to check you’re on track.

What English and Maths will I need to do?

As part of your induction to the programme you will take an online initial assessment which will provide a
profile of your strengths and weaknesses in English & Maths. These will feed into your Individual Learning
Plan (ILP). If you don’t have copies of your GCSE certificates (A*-C) we will support you to complete Functional
Skills Level 2 in English and or Maths.

What support will I get throughout the programme?

– All our training is delivered by a CIPD approved expert whether that’s at one of our central London
study venues or live online.
– Our tutors will support you between class and handing in your assignment and provide individual written feedback on all assignments.
– You will have an assessor who will check in monthly and complete workplace visits.

Entry Requirements

– You must be 18 years old or over and living in England.
– Level 2 English and Maths, grades A to C.
– If you don’t have certificates, we can help you achieve these as part of your personalised training programme.

Duration

– The minimum duration of the apprenticeship is 1 year, however you should expect to take approximately 15 months to complete the programme.
– As part of an apprenticeship you will need to spend 20% of your work time on your professional development.
– There are 6 modules at CIPD Certificate Level 3 or Level 5, and most students will aim to complete a module per month.
– Plus, the end-point assessment takes a further 3 months to complete.

How will I be Assessed?

During the programme you will complete the following assessments:

– Five or six CIPD accredited assignments combining theory and application
– A continuous professional development (CPD) record
– One-hour professional discussion to a panel of experts including a 15-minute presentation
– A written work-based project on how you’ve applied the learning outcomes within your role
– At Level 3 you will also have in-class skills checks.

Certification and Graduation

An Apprentice will be awarded a fail, pass or distinction. We want you to pass and will support you throughout the assessment process. However, if an apprentice does fail, they are entitled to one resit.

On successful completion of your CIPD Certificate you will receive both a CIPD and Apprenticeship Certificate in recognition of the double qualification.

Costs

Organisations with an annual salary bill of £3+ million, will pay into the apprenticeship levy. If your company doesn’t pay into the apprenticeship levy, the government will still fund 95% of the cost of the apprenticeship.

As an established, Approved and highly rated CIPD training provider, we only work in partnership with registered apprenticeship partners. Our partners will oversee all the funding and apprenticeship scheme requirements. Leaving us to focus on the delivery and support of both the apprentice and employer throughout the training course programme.

Apprentices

As an established, Approved and highly rated CIPD training provider, we only work in partnership with registered apprenticeship partners. Our partners will oversee all the funding and apprenticeship scheme requirements. Leaving us to focus on the delivery and support of both the apprentice and employer throughout the training course programme.

Employers

We will support employers with a structured training framework for their apprentices. This includes an initial assessment of the apprentice and regular progress reviews with you and the apprentice. Acacia can also help employers to promote and recruit HR/L&D apprentices via our network of people professionals.
