Introduction to Coaching

One day course, non-accredited

This introductory workshop is aimed at managers who have responsibility for developing and supporting their people. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to participate openly and honestly.

The perfect course to upskill line managers to better support the development of their teams. In house delivery can be tailored to the needs of your organisation. 

Objectives:

  • Explore, develop, and evaluate your own coaching and facilitating skills
  • Use coaching to boost effectiveness by inspiring and helping others to develop themselves
  • Draw on recognised coaching methods to motivate and support those they work with
  • Develop a critical insight into their existing practice and awareness of coaching
  • Understand the barriers to peak performance, and how to deal with it
  • Become more purposeful and effective at work, moving from habitual to conscious action
  • Formulate an action plan to improve their own coaching skills – with individuals and with teams

CIPD Foundation Award in Supporting Individuals Learning Through Coaching and Mentoring

Two day or four evening course, CIPD Accredited 

Explore and use coaching and mentoring models and techniques within this CIPD accredited Award. You will explain the concepts of coaching and mentoring, how they differ, explore the benefits of each, be able to use both within your role to support individuals and know how to record discussions.

Assessment includes being observed during a coaching session and submitting a written briefing note. 

No prior experience is needed.

Objectives:

CIPD Intermediate Award in Implementing Coaching and Mentoring

Two day or three evening course, CIPD Accredited

You will develop a comprehensive understanding of theory and potential value of both coaching and mentoring. You will explore the role of line managers and how to apply coaching and mentoring within an organisations for a range of stakeholders. You will learn how to assess the benefits of implementing coaching and mentoring in organisations and make recommendations.  

You will need to submit a written report for CIPD Accreditation. 

Ideal for a HR, Learning & Development or Organisational Design profession with experience of using coaching to support the development of others.
